Eduardo Da Silva Injury update-2

 Hi Gunners!

Here you have the latest on Eduardo’s career threatening injury:

According to reports, Eduardo has undergone surgery for double compound fracture in an unnamed London hospital. It is confirmed now that he will miss the rest of the season and even Euro 2008. What a blow to over title aspirations! Just when he looked like settling well and combining excellently with Adeb, he had this horrific injury.

This is what Arsene Wenger had to say about the comments he made yesterday:

“I feel that my comments about Martin Taylor were excessive. I said what I did in the heat of the moment. “It was a highly emotional afternoon and we were all shocked by the injury.”

This is what Birmingham manager Alex McLeish had to say on Taylor.

“Martin’s not a dirty player. He’s distraught over Eduardo’s injury. I’ve seen the challenge and, yes, the studs land on Eduardo’s ankle. In slow motion these tackles always look bad but he’s not a malicious player – Eduardo was just too quick for him, the referee’s done his job, it’s a sending off, but Taylor’s not a malicious player.”
