Eduardo Da Silva Injury update-2

Hi Gunners!
Here you have the latest on Eduardo’s career threatening injury:
According to reports, Eduardo has undergone surgery for double compound fracture in an unnamed London hospital. It is confirmed now that he will miss the rest of the season and even Euro 2008. What a blow to over title aspirations! Just when he looked like settling well and combining excellently with Adeb, he had this horrific injury.
This is what Arsene Wenger had to say about the comments he made yesterday:
“I feel that my comments about Martin Taylor were excessive. I said what I did in the heat of the moment. “It was a highly emotional afternoon and we were all shocked by the injury.”
This is what Birmingham manager Alex McLeish had to say on Taylor.
“Martin’s not a dirty player. He’s distraught over Eduardo’s injury. I’ve seen the challenge and, yes, the studs land on Eduardo’s ankle. In slow motion these tackles always look bad but he’s not a malicious player - Eduardo was just too quick for him, the referee’s done his job, it’s a sending off, but Taylor’s not a malicious player.”
Birmingham versus Arsenal- Eduardo Injury update
Mar 16,2008 at 8:53 pm | In Uncategorized | No CommentsThis is what Arsene Wenger had to say about Taylor and Eduardo’s injury:
“This guy should never play football again,” he fumed. “What is he doing on the football pitch?
“I’ve gone along with the idea for a long time that to stop Arsenal, you have to kick Arsenal. I knew that was coming for a long time now.”
“His injury is very, very bad. More than the season is over.”
So we are in a crisis again…RVP and Eduardo are missing and Bendtner and Adeb will have to do it together for next 11 matches.
How I wish EPL was only 28 games a season so that we could be crowned champs after our home game against Villa.
With Man *** cruising at St.james, we are just 3 points ahead now and we have no other choice but to defeat Man*** or Chels** at their home.
I sincerely hope RVP will come back soon and score the winning goal against Man***
SAVE OUR SOS RVP……………
Birmingham 2- Arsenal 2—Eduardo out, Clichy blows it away
Mar 16,2008 at 5:44 pm | In Uncategorized | No CommentsHi Gunners! this was perhaps the worst match of the season for us in terms of the cause. Not only we lost out an excellent chance to go 8 points clear of Man***, our main striker Eduardo was badly injured and could be out for the rest of the season.
It all started in the third minute when Martin Taylor broke Eduardo’s leg and was rightly sent off.
We played well but were unlucky to concede the freekick thanks to Flamster who at times plays little too much and gives away freekicks from dangerous positions. Birmingham got their goal with McFadden freekick.
We threatened Birmingham’s defence and should have equalized with Adeb who looked like an absolute ghost of himself wasted very clear chance. This is the most important aspect of Adeb..at times he scores good goals and then he misses simple chances like he did today and he was as much responsible to the lost cause as Clichy.Adeb should have scored twice in the first half.
Second half was better and dominated the entire half. We had most of the possession and Theo scored his first premiership goal after Taylor failed to clear Adeb’s header.
Walcott then gave us the well deserved lead with an excellent finish and I thought it was match over.
Adeb missed a sitter after 75 minutes and this was perhaps the turning point. Bendtner came close, Hleb and Cesc had chances but we could not score.
Then came the killer blow…Clichy, whom I wanted to shoot (I mean it…I was sooo angry with the Frenchman) gave a nonsense penalty in the 94th minute.
Mcfadden scored from the spot and we were reeling….I wanted to smash the Television set…
Gallas cried after the final wistle…..
- could this be the end of our dream run?
- Why the hell did Clichy give away that stupid penalty?
- Are we going to throw away the title?
Our youngsters have already over-achieved and it would be a no surprise if we panick and let Man*** or Chel*** walk away with the premiership…
I am absolutely shattered and only foul words are coming out…
is Clichy going Eboue’s way? he did it against Mancity and now again….Fu** off Gael…

AC Milan 0-Arsenal 2……Cesc does it!!!!
Mar 04,2008 at 8:05 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsHi Gunners!!
What a game we had…Beating the defending champions in their own den was truly a magnificent feat..Our young team did what the likes of Manu**, Livpool could never do, that is, winning at San Siro..We had an outstanding game and thoroughly deserved to win..Cesc and Adeb scored our two goals and put us into Quarterfinals..With all our EPL rivals poised to win today, I am sad that we will have to face Chels** or Livpool next..but the team I want to face is…guess who….Barcelona…Ya I want them to come to Emirates and get whipped!!! How great to defeat a team who spoiled our party 2 seasons ago.
Heres hoping that this win will give our lads confidence to play well in EPL and extend our lead this weekend….
GO GUNNERS!!!
Ivory Coast blown off plus Winger signing debate
Mar 01,2008 at 7:45 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsHi Gunners!! This has been an International friendly week! Lots of lots of useless matches played which will have absolutely no effect on the performance of countries playing top-flight football. So we had English versus Swiss, Spanish versus French, Italians versus Portuguese and so on…It really doesnt matter who wins these matches due to the fact that these matches will not showcause true abilities of top quality teams..We have several players who took part in these matches and Flamini and Diaby have been injured. This gives Gilberto yet an other chance to impress Arsene and push the indomitable Flamster.
Ivory Coast has been blown off by Egypt (1-4) in the Africa cup of nations. This means Kolo and Eboue will be fighting for the third place honours against the loser of Ghana versus Angola. In all possibility Ghana looks like the favs to win the cup.
There were rumours that Wenger will sign a winger this summer. Who will that be-Queresma or N’Zogbia or Joaquin? My favourite would be Queresma who has done well in the left side of the wing and he does score some goals. N’Zogbia who plays for toons is an interesting prospect as well. Though very small in stature, he is pacy and can provide decent crosses. Joaquin is another name that comes to my mind. Here is a player who is a good dribbler and has enough experience to handle the pressure of being in a big club like Arsenal. So we may send Rosicky out this summer and bring in Queresma.
What say gunners?
Wigan 0- Arsenal 0–TITLE DREAMS OVER?
Mar 01,2008 at 6:46 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsHi Gunners!!
We did it again!!! That is drop 2 points again!!! Adeb missed 2 sitters again !! Gilberto was pathetic again !!! Senderos was clumsy again!!! The result……we will not win any trophies AGAIN !!!!! I am sad to say this but I am strongly feeling now that our honeymoon is over..We will again finish second or third..Manu** will win title again…3 weeks back, Wenger had said…”Its our title to win..Its in our hands..”…Ya Wenger boss, it was in our hands..now its in our rivals’ hands…Manu now can win title on their own despite whether we do well or not..if Manu win or draw more matches, they will win league again.
I felt our team was over-acheiving throughout the season..no one expected us to do this well.
So this season will again go as the “soo close yet soo far” season…Wenger needs to answer this..what has been our team’s achievements since 2005??? Answer is ZERO….only Cesc and RVP have come through the ranks and our team is still without any success….Fuc*** Mourinho was right when he said things about Wenger…he is simply not winning….comeon Gunners, dont tell me “we will be happy without trophies as long as our team plays ever passing, beautiful football”
I am tired of all this frustrating performances…..Stop defending Wenger…you have to sign 6 QUALITY players this season and try to win trophies else you go out and make room for a new manager……..
Arsenal go on top of EPL
Feb 26,2008 at 6:33 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsHi Gunners!!What an excellent weekend it was!!
We won a tough away game and our 2 major rivals both dropped points.
Spuds who knocked us out of Carling cup denied Man*** 2 points and Chelsea on the other hand were held
to a draw by Pompey who had our ex (that never satisfied French Diarra). It means we are on the top
of EPL with 2 points ahead of Man***.
We played very good, attacking game against Mancity and thoroughly deserved to win.
Adeb did the trick again with yet an other brace and Eduardo scored easily the goal of the week.
Clichy had an ordinary game(his first) and conceded a goal immediately after we had scored our second.
Nevertheless we hung on to our lead and in the 89th minute, Adeb scored his second to put us on top of EPL.
An excellent weekend and Spuds showed how that to get better of Man*** ; you have to keep attacking them
till the end and they indeed will crack.
2 Reasons why Arsenal will win EPL this season
Feb 23,2008 at 9:31 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsHi Gunners!
Some interesting facts:
-
Over the last 8-9 seasons, only once a team which has won Community shield has gone onto win EPL. That means Man*** will not win.
-
Over the last 4-5 seasons, only once a team which has contested for Community shield has won EPL. So Chel*** will not won.
That leaves Gunners as the only ones who can win atleast according to history.
I strongly believe in history and will hope we go onto lift the EPL.
Go GUNNERS !!!!!!!!!!
